What is a business system?
A business system is the repeatable way work moves from one step to the next. It defines what starts the process, what information is needed, who owns each step, what happens next, and where technology can help.
Software can be part of the system, but the system is the process itself. In a small service business, examples include how an inquiry becomes a booking, how a quote gets followed up, how a finished job becomes an invoice, and how a happy customer gets asked for a review.
